Racial Discrimination
.... this day exclusively by ignorant people. A kaffir isn't a slang term
for an African; it is a word that describes the person that uses it. This type
of person is one who feeds his ego by dehumanizing those around him when he
feels they are not equal to him. He may regard those of different races or
nationalities as "bad" or "dirty" because they do not have the same skin color
as he does or they may cherish beliefs that are contrary to the ones by which he
lives his life.
These qualities describe the man .....

The Battle Of The Sexes
.... secretary with his amazing eight words
per minuit typing speed and the skinny little twig woman wants to be a
lumberjack. Men and women have to realize that some jobs are meant for someone
more fitting then what they are.
When god created women, he gave them the ability to have children. This
advantage kind of gives women superiority over men. I'm sure if men were able
to they would have children, but they can't. Back in the eighteen hundreds it
was expected that women stay home and take care of t .....

Being Young
.... being accepted by the group. This phenomen has a negative
side. What if a pupil can't afford to buy these clothes? Will he or she be
excluded from the gang? Some schools in various countries have tried to solve
this problem. They have introduced a rule that allows pupils to go at school
only if they are dressed in a specific school-uniform. But many students don't
like these uniforms. They want to decide for themselves how to dress.
During the last years it has become more usual for parents to divor .....

Racism In Colleges

selected and several black units were formed. Once the North had defeated the
South in the war, the slaves were freed from bondage, however, that did not mean
that they would be free from the terrible prejudice that still permeated the
country.
Schools sprang up in all black areas but were not given the public
funding that they needed and deserved. They were usually only one room and very
dirty. They were given the oldest and most worn out books and equipment that
were available. There we .....

Blacks: A Struggle For Racial Equality
.... that Pete has some antagonism towards blacks. He treats
them with very little respect and uses the racist term "nigger." This helps to
justify that blacks are treated with considerably less appreciation than other
races of people.
Let us also look at the fact that blacks are often socially outcasted
because of their race. We see this in The Runner. "You're telling me you won't
work with him because he's a negro?" "That's right."3 As we can see the above
exert clearly shows how the black .....

Blacks Treated As Lower Class Citizens
.... until she comes up with still another child to abort or support, But none
of this is 'Negro-ness'" (Griffin 92). This quote shows that the blacks were
deprived of an education, and a good education is usually a symbol of middle- or
higher- class citizen. "They are so close to their ancestors learned to read and
write at the risk of severe punishment, that learning is almost a sacred
privilege (Griffin 125)." This quote shows how the whites had deprived them of
an education for many centuries. The quot .....

Racism Today
.... thought and speech. Essentially, covert racism is a "hidden"
racism, or a racism not easily detected (Piazza 78). "Racism is still strongly
prevalent in today's society" (Gudorf 3).
The three different basic forms of racism, open racism, violent racism,
and covert racism all express forms of hatred towards distinct ethnic groups
(Bender 47). These basic forms of racism, although different in form, all have
the same main purpose, to promote racism. Open racism expresses freedom of
racial thoug .....

Blue Collar Student: Are Jobs Good Or Bad?
.... buy a new pair of
shoes, or do whatever he wants to do with it. Jim worked hard for his money and
after all, it is his money. Another alternative to spending this hard earned
money is to save it in a bank and use it for college.
This is all fine and dandy but what about school and the homework teachers send
home. If a student does have a part time job when will he get this work done.
Part time jobs can take away the precious time that students need to study and
do homework. Let's just say for instance .....

BONGO.. Always American Made - Analysis Of Bongo Jeans Ad
.... knows that her hand is a winner, and that
her companion will soon be without even his shoes.
On the table are two glasses of milk. This is one of the most powerful
images in the ad. I believe they are there to counteract the sexual overtones
and idea of risk-taking in the ad. Milk is included as if to say, "Even though
these two young people are probably going to have sex when the game is finished,
they are wholesome, good people." Milk works much better than using soft drinks,
for example .....

Racism In America
.... racism.
No one can deny the effect racism has had on America; so we must do our
best to stop it.. to end racism we must be able to understand each other. “ In a
recent poll, 11% of whites thought that blacks were lazy, yet 76% of blacks
think whites think they are lazy” (“color” 41). It is this kind of
misunderstanding that racism thrives on. If we work harder to understand each
other better, racism would have a harder time existing.
There is no doubt that we need to find a solution to racism. .....

The Need For An Official Language

the same kind of people, those who speak Chinese. There is no communiaction
between them and the outside. Later on, different kinds of small groups will be
formed. Different gruops will have conflict since they don't share the same
culture, habit and language. The harmony of the whole society is going to break.
Development and growth of our society will slow down, and everyone have to
suffer from it. To avoid this, communication is needed to eliminate the conflict

What Is Wealth
.... one chooses to enrich their mind and strive for
knowledge that they are truly wealthy. Wealth is the ability to enrich and
influence. With knowledge one can do these things. Wealth is not taking
things for granted. In many ways knowledge can help you achieve success. With
knowledge one can look into the past and see the mistakes that others have made.
The person with knowledge will not repeat these mistakes. Knowledge can help
one make the right choices in life. If one can make the right choices in .....

Equality
.... religion is wrong. So if
you tell someone that they are believing the wrong thing, they could same to you.
No religion is wrong.
Reverse discrimination is also wrong. It isn't a person's fault that people
of their race and sex usually get a brake. Reverse discrimination is still
discrimination, and all discrimination is wrong. All discrimination is the same.
No one should discriminate against another ever. Especially if I it is to bring
them self up.
I hope that all people will learn to go about th .....

Child Rearing In Victorian Times
.... consider the
child being neglected.
Mothers and Fathers were seen as special, glamourous guests, due to the
fact that they were never around and rarely seen by their children. This was
because child and parent led totally separate existences, they were only
summoned to appear before their parents at a certain set hour of the day. Many
Victorian children like Winston Churchill and Harriet Marden recall such cold
relations between their selves and their mothers that they would be able to
count how many t .....
