Blacks Treated As Lower Class Citizens
.... until she comes up with still another child to abort
or support, But none of this is 'Negro-ness'" (Griffin 92). This quote
shows that the blacks were deprived of an education, and a good education
is usually a symbol of middle- or higher- class citizen. "They are so close
to their ancestors learned to read and write at the risk of severe
punishment, that learning is almost a sacred privilege (Griffin 125)." This
quote shows how the whites had deprived them of an education for many
centuries. The quot .....

The Need For An Official Language
.... people also tend to hang
around with the same kind of people, those who speak Chinese. There is no
communiaction between them and the outside. Later on, different kinds of
small groups will be formed. Different gruops will have conflict since they
don't share the same culture, habit and language. The harmony of the whole
society is going to break. Development and growth of our society will slow
down, and everyone have to suffer from it. To avoid this, communication is
needed to eliminate the conflict .....

Cheating
.... believe that cheating is a terrible thing to do and will hurt you
in the long run. When you cheat on a homework assignment, quiz, or test,
you are only cheating yourself. You should be honorable enough to take a
bad grade and admit that you don't know everything.
When you cheat in school, you are just getting by, you aren't
actually learning. Later in life, this can really hurt you. When you grow
up and have a job, there will be no one to copy. None of the good
employers will want you if you can't .....

Chivalry

This is where the training for knighthood began. As a page, the boy would
be tutored in Latin and French, but he devoted most of his time to physical
exersice, and duties. A page was educated in wrestling, tilting with
spears, and military exercises that were done on horseback. He was also
taught dancing and playing of musical instruments in their leisure time.
As a page, a boy was taught how to carve and serve food as a waiter, and
other services around the .....

Civilize The Wilderness
.... Technology plays an important role in everyone's lives
today. Without it, we would not have computers, fax machines, cellular
phones, and all of the modern conveniences that we have today. The fact is,
that many people believe that the wilderness is like an unborn country. A
country that has nothing and is striving to become more advanced. We see
this as an opportunity to better it and make it seem like we are actually
helping. But, are we really helping? In my opinion, no. I feel that we .....

Communication Skills
.... you hear a bird chirping, you might
incorporate it to what you where just about to say. This makes the person
you're talking to even more comfortable with what you are trying to convey
with your thoughts and ideas. This is how different things can effect one's
communication skill, speaking.
A second communication skill is body language, a very personal way
of expressing yourself without words. One's body language can carry a
whole conversation without even saying a word. Sign language is an

.... nations. Illiteracy
rates are high, and more and more students are graduating from school even
if they have been absent more days than allowed. To improve this,
committees have been organized will develop voluntary national and state
standards for education and authorize grants to develop model programs to
improve learning.
Employment is an issue that every American must deal with. In
society today, women are forcing their way into the business world.
Although females' incomes are generally less than .....

Conforming Vs. Not Conforming To Society's Expectations
.... The advantages of conforming to society's expectations are obvious. You
will be widely accepted as the norm and you are likely to be more popular
than people who don't conform to society's expectations.
You can be yourself and do whatever you feel like if you don't conform
to society's expectations. You may not be as popular as a conformist, but
you will probably earn more respect for standing out. Non-conformists could
actually have more time and money on their hands for themselves because
they d .....

Curfews, And Other Limits
.... problems with your teen, spend
time with them and talk to them. In dealing with a teen who has taken
illegal drugs, you as a parent need to try to understand why you teen has
committed the crime. Only when you understand the child, then you can
give the appropriate punishment. Another important factor in discipline is
to make sure that the teen understands why what they have done is wrong,
and show them scripture to explain it. If a child does not know why what
they have done is bad, they will like .....

The Problem Of Domestic Violence
.... case.
Webster's dictionary defines epidemic as "a rapid spreading of a disease;
to many people at the same time", this is not the case with domestic
violence, one it didn't just happen overnight, it has just been popularized
overnight, domestic violence has been going on from as far back as anyone
can remember and probably farther than that, and two, this is not affecting
many people at the same timem, because, as I've stated before, "in most
families men and women do not engage in physically abusive beha .....

Personal Writing: Living In Both Texas And New York City
.... like everyone were heading for different
directions and the citizens of New York City are too busy with their own
affairs and does have time to care of what's going on in their surroundings.
The citizens of New York City would care less about the traffic safety and
reading the traffic signs. The smell of the city reminds me of the honey
roasted peanut stands, a sweet scent of aroma that would often fill up the
neighborhood. When I close my eyes and think deeply about NYC, there has
been a chime i .....

Knights And Chivalry
.... orders of Alcantara, Calatrava, and Santiago. In the late Middle
Ages, rulers formed secular orders of chivalry such as the English Order of
the Garter and the Burgundian Order of the Golden Fleece. By this time,
however, chivalry had become largely a system of etiquette. Tournaments, in
which knights had originally risked their lives in jousting combat before
the ladies, became simply elaborate, stylized, and harmless entertainments.
Moreover, the expense of this and other trappings of knighthood led m .....

Existentialism In The Early 19th Century
.... objective standards. Against the traditional view that moral
choice involves an objective judgment of right and wrong, existentialists
have argued that no objective, rational basis can be found for moral
decisions. The 19th-century German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche further
contended that the individual must decide which situations are to count
asmoral situations.

All existentialists have followed Kierkegaard in stressing the importance

author above, someone who is extreme just to be extreme. To my
disappointment it seems the later is becoming more prevalent within society.
After reading the article I scrolled down the page to where it

lesbian rights pages, and two "neo-feminist pages". Thinking this must be
only a small percentage of feminist pages which were given by this specific
author, I went back and searched man .....

The First Impression
.... cliché "You cannot judge a book by its cover." Not
everything is what it seems to be. A young man who was on a quest to find
himself decided to do a trek across the United States. When he reached the
state of Arizona, he met up with a man in ragged clothes, messy hair and in
need of a bath. Still, the young man started up a conversation and found
this hobo to be very intellectual and pleasant man despite his appearance.
As night approached each went and sought shelter for the night, but before
