Dining Establishments And Eating
.... lot.
For fast food the parking lot is more accessible to people(less
landscaping), more entrances and exit doors(for more saved time). Once
entering the building one can distinguish a fast food restaurant, by the
high traffic tile floors, plastic bench seating that does not move for
comfort, and the poor taste of interior design with small amounts of
decoration. These buildings were meant for eating quickly, and then
leaving, visual impact is not a major concern. There will be no waiters to

Sacrifices And The Road To Success
.... wanted to go out to sea, but instead,
his father placed him under an apprenticeship to his brother James, a
printer. Later, in pursuit of a better job, he cheated James out of four
years of free labor. This not only broke their contract, but their
relationship as well. Even though Franklin did not care much for his
brother, he still considered it a loss, and a "Errata of my life." Yet
their were better things in store for him elsewhere.
In Paul's Case, the character Paul, like Franklin, finds .....

Gender Roles: The Discrimination Against Men
.... due to a medley of factors: women's criticisms of
men's shortcomings as husbands, fathers, and lovers; the debilitating
pressures of the economy and men's unequal responsibility to succeed in the
workplace, to prove their worth by making money; and men's confusion over
what it means to be a man today.
There are many stereotypes about men and women that are heard every
day. The most common, however, is how men are considered jerks. That is one
of the most popular ideas in our society today. Women have c .....

Crisis: Generation X
.... all they've know is rise.
Rise in population, rise in American business, and rise in overall success.
These days all jobs are taken. The jobs out there are low paying and
demeaning to overqualified applicants. Left only to scrap by, it is not
unusual for an "X-er" to feel "Boomer Envy" described as the "envy of
material wealth and long-range material security accrued by older members
of the baby boom generation by virtue of fortunate births" (Generation X,
pg. 21). The fortunate thing is that "X-ers" h .....

Generations
.... but they are very
surprised at the large change that took place between our generations.
Long hair, mopcuts, bellbottoms and more are the appearance my parents
remember. I think, as a change for the better, my generation mostly keeps
their hair neat and trim. We habitually wear loose-fitting, comfortable
clothes, and many also wear a hat. These vast changes astonish my parents,
but they do not see them as a step towards a more or less civilized society.
However, they do notice some changes that ma .....

Prohibiting Speech That Offends
.... to government censorship, in violation of
the Constitution. And the ACLU believes that all campuses should adhere to
First Amendment principles because academic freedom is a bedrock of
education in a free society. No social institution is better suited to
fight bigotry than the university. It can do so in its courses and perhaps
most importantly through the way it conducts itself as a community. We're
not talking about choosing between the First Amendment and the Fourteenth
Amendment. We're talking .....

Heraldry In Medieval Times
.... far reaching quests and journeys. Most often they would be familiar
with very few people so recognition by facial features was difficult. A
coat of arms was more far reaching and well known than the appearance of
the man. It gave the bearer a sort of graphic catch phrase that was
noticed and perceived more than the actual features of the man.
The coat of arms also proudly represents an active relationship
between past and present family members. It creates a visible link to the
past and a proud stat .....

Homeless: What Has Been Done To Decrease The Problem?
.... states:
Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the
health and well being of himself and of his family, including food,
clothing, housing, and medical care and necessary social services, and to
the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability,
widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his
control.
This is a step in the right direction. However, this is not enough.
These rights are subject to the discretion of the gov .....

Justice
.... the lunch-line or the bathroom line, is
completely unfair. (Unless, of course, you're the person budging.) A line
is formed as a way to make everyone wait the same. The whole system is
ruined if someone budges. Budging is rarely caught, but when it is, the
punishment is severe. The person who budged usually has to go to the end
of the line. The only problem with this is that people aren't caught often
enough.
Cheating is yet another of the unfair practices that go on in
school. This kind o .....

.... would get elected to a leadership position and not perform
the jobs and duties associated with the office. It was more of a
popularity contest than a serious commitment. Over the years, I have been
elected to several offices and I have realized that if you are elected to a
leadership position you should perform the job duties because many people
are counting on you. I have tried to the best of my ability to live up to
my commitments.
I also realize that not all leadership positions are elected or

Multiculturalism In The United States
.... is better or
worse than another. USA is different from other countries because that in
this country are living representatives of all cultures. It is normal to
meet people from all over the world in most every city; what is not normal
is the idea of understanding that a lot of people are Americans, people
born and raised in the US. These citizens might not seem to be Americans,
but they are as American as any American.
Ronald Takaki in his essay, “An Educated and Cultural Literate
Person Must Study .....

Nonviolent Resistance
.... The Negroes did know that the system was corrupted, but why did
they accept to adjust themselves to their oppression? I don't know. By
accepting to conform their oppression they are giving up their basic
rights that our four fathers gave them. They need to stand up for their
rights until they reach their goal.
As an example, women weren't allowed to vote prior to 1920. The
women citizens of America wanted to vote and they had the right to vote.
They fought and fought for the f .....

Put The Homeless To Work

change or even some left over food. Others hang around 7-11 stores or any
grocery stores and supermarkets. Some are out there to clean your car or
just your windshield so they could get something in return for their
efforts even though they only get your car more dirty.
As I said before, most of the homeless that we have today put up
signs that say "will work for food." Most of them really want to work in
order to get some money for food and stay alive. So, why don't we give it

Racism
.... happens more often and most harshly when two groups
with different skin colours and unique physical features come into contact
with each other and the two compete for the same thing. History shows that
all attempts at a racial dominance result in conflict and avoidance.
But, some communities without disturbed racial conflict can take
advantage of all its citizens potential and move toward elimination.
Our hate is caused by witnessing the behaviour of the Ku Klux Klan,
