Youth often suffer for older peoples mistakes. This is true in many cases in the play Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. This mostly occurs between Romeo and Juliet, but other characters were affected as well. Mercutio and Tybalt were also victims of older people’s mistakes. Romeo and Juliet suffered greatly in the play. Both suffered because it was hard for them to see each other without their parents knowledge. Romeo killed himself because he thought that Juliet was dead when she actually had been given a 42 hour sleeping potion by Friar Lawrence.
