The Great Gatsby and his Dreams The story of the Great Gatsby is summoned up by a small paragraph which explains the reasons for events in the story. The story is begun many years before when Gatsby meets a woman and falls in love with her whose name is Daisy. However, Gatsby does not have the fame and fortune a classy lady like Daisy desires.
