Drama is a species of literature whose basic medium is spoken language. Moreover, drama can be read, somewhat like a poem or novel. But the word “drama” actually comes from the Greek word meaning “act.” Drama as a complete work of art exists in the presentation. Its success depends on interpreters, such as directors and actors, who intervene between the dramatist and the audience. We have to take what is offered from them.
