Hester Prynne of Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter is no different. Hester Prynne is not entirely as she may seem. The reader may still be unclear of Hesters thoughts even after reading the book. Hester is introduced to the reader as a devout Puritan with the exception of her sin of adultry.
