adventure story and so is the movie. There are many aspects to the book
The novel takes place during a war. I get this impression from the
fact that they make several references to bombs and naval ships. All of
the characters in the book are British. The book’s setting is a small
island somewhere. Their plane had crashed on the island and only the boys
were alive after the crash. The whole plot of the book is based upon the
boys being stranded on the island with no authority. There are many
characters in the book, but only four with any real importance. Ralph is
the one who brings the boys together and is elected leader of them. Ralph
