The Life of Edvard Munch
Everyone has something that in some significant way means something to them. Edvard Munch believed that art had its own significance altogether. Munch was a beautiful and innovative artist, although, his life was not as joyful as many people may think an artists life should be.
Edvard Munch was a very competent man. He was born on November twelfth, 1863. He was born in Loton, Norway. He was the son of Christian and Laura Catherine Munch. Edvard was the second of five children.
In 1864, the Munch family moved to the city of Oslo. This is where Edvard began his art training. In 1868 his mother died of tuberculosis when Edvard was only five. From there, his aunt, Karen Bjolstad, took over the household. Then to his despair, in 1877, his favorite sister Sophie died of tuberculosis, at the young age of fifteen.
