John F. Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on May 29, 1917. He was born into a rich family, and his father who was the Ambassador to Great Britain under Franklin Roosevelt raised him to be in politics. In 1946 Kennedy went to Harvard and four years later joined the Navy. While in the Pacific the PT-109, the boat he commanded, was rammed. He was able to rescue many of his crew and because of this he received medals of honors. Kennedy was later discharged from the Navy in 1945, After hurting his back and catching malaria.
