"Things sure aren't what they use to be," said my grandfather. He should know considering he was born March 3, 1930. Son of Robert and Clara Long, Robert Long was born in Richmond, Kentucky and lived most of his childhood there. He was the fifth child of six, and the third son of the children. Mildred and Beulah are his two sisters' names, and his three brothers' names are Carl, Alonzo, and Carl.
"As a kid, there wasn't television, or Internet, or video games so you had to make your own fun. There was nothing to play with", said my grandfather.
