Jean Jacque Piaget
Jean Jacque Piaget was born in Neuchatel, Switzerland on August 9,
1896 and died in Geneva on September 16, 1980. Piaget was best known for
his work in developmental psychology of children and genetic epistemology.
Piaget began his work studying natural sciences at the University of
Neuchatel where he later obtained a Ph.D. Throughout Piagets life he
discovered and accomplished many things and undoubtedly made the most of
his life.
Piaget decided to leave Neuchatel and go to France, where he began
his studies on the development of cognitive abilities. While in France, he
did his first experimental studies of the growing mind. One year later, in
1921, he became director of studies at the Rousseau Institute in Geneva.
