Charles Darwin Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury,England on February 12, 1809.He was the grandson of Erasmus Darwin. His mother died when he was 8- years-old.His sister raised him from then on. Darwin went to Christ’s College in Cambridge to study theology further.That was around 1827.He couldn’t find anything he liked until theology. Darwin is considered the father of evolution. He set sail on the “ BEAGLE” to Patagonia from 1831-1836. Darwin’s was becoming a naturalist. He visited places all over the world. Darwin traveled near and far. During his voyages in 5 years, he gained knowledge of the flora,fauna,and geology from all over the place.It helped him out for later voyages.His papers about his discoveries, etc were first read for the Plinian Society at that University. He was more interested in geology than theology though. ....
