I do not think poverty is discussed often and many different views of poverty were voiced. I believe that most often an individual that is determined, can work to rise above the poverty level and be an active member of the work force in our society today. First we must identify what is poverty? In class we had different views voiced on what is poverty, does poverty mean you don’t work and live off government handouts or work at a low paying, dead end job. Most of the discussion members agreed that both would be considered poverty.
