Advertisements and the Consumer Throughout our everyday lives we are bombarded with an array of advertisements. Whether it is the TV, radio, newspaper, or billboards, the goal of advertising is the same. The goal of most advertising is to twist the truth - or in other words, to deceive. This ad was published in 1913 and was appealing to the woman's upcoming right to vote.
