Review of A Concert of Sacred Music From The Moores Opera
A Concert of Sacred Music was a new experience for me. I went into
Moores Opera House not expecting to enjoy the concert, but as I walked out
I was a bit amazed at the performance. I had an appreciation for the music
and the performers that I have never had before. The concert had two
groups; The Moores School Chamber Singers conducted by Roger S. Keele, and
Coro conducted by Joel F. Plaag.
The Moores School Chamber Singers were flawless. The men wore
black and white tuxes and the women were dressed in all black. There were
nine males and eight female singers. The accompanying chamber music was
played by a small ensemble of nine players, each playing a different
instrument. The two parts were balanced and helped emphasize one another.
