The play Hamlet by William Shakespeare is considered one of the greatest tragedies in English Literature. In the tragedy Hamlet the character, Hamlet, confronts many different ideas inside his own self. Hamlet is the type of character who kept all of his emotions inside of himself this idea is prevalent in the soliloquies. In the soliloquies the reader sees Hamlet letting go of his emotions. A soliloquy is a long narrative speech from a character to the audience; therefore the character is talking to him. Hamlet confronts ideas of incest, revenge, loyalty to the king, and death.
