Film and Book Review of I Know What You Did Last Summer The book I read was I Know What You Did Last Summer by Lois Duncan. The movie I watched was directed by Jim Gillespie and was based (rather loosely) on this book. After reading the book and then watching the movie I noticed many differences and very few similarities. I would have to say that the book is better than the movie. In most comparisons between novel and movie, the novel is almost always better. I think that when you read the book, you’re aloud to think for yourself instead of what the movie gives you to think. Also how you portray the story is up to you.
