Imagine a world full of Bart Simpsons. Little whining, annoying troublemakers all over the place. Now imagine a world without Bart Simpson. Rather difficult, isn't it? The Simpsons is one of America's most popular television shows. It ranks as the number one television program for viewers under eighteen years of age (Varhola, 50). Having this young audience, one would think the show would be filled with educational, or at least beneficial, material to help kids who are developing into young adults. However, the ideals that The Simpsons conveys are not always wholesome and, sometimes, not even in good taste.
