The apparitions and prophasies convert Macbeth's role from good to evil, they play on Macbeth's hamartea of ambition, and they also confuse Macbeth. First of all Macbeth's role from good to evil is converted by the three prophasies of the three witches. The three prophasies are Macbeth is the Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and Macbeth soon to be king of Scotland. When Macbeth was presented with these three prophasies another Thane named Banquo is at his side. Banquo asks if they would have any prophasies for him. The three witches replied Banquo is lesser and greater than Macbeth, Banquo is not really happy but a lot happier, and Banquo would get kings but he will not become on....
