King Creon and King Oedipus
King Creon and King Oedipus are both alike and different in nature. Both are supposedly naive people with simplistic ambitions. Each one, though seemingly different, comply with what human nature craves to have. Each one may do things differently but they do it with the same ambitions and motives. In the plays Sophocles wrote, each character has characteristics that are a part of us. However, Sophocles made the characters somewhat exaggerated when compared to the way we act.
In the plays "Oedipus and Oedipus at Colonus", Oedipus is portrayed as an individual that lets overbearing pride and dignity blind him from what is happening around him. One example is when he met king Laios at the crossroads near Thebes. In this situation, both individuals let overbearing pride and dignity get in the way of reason. Because of this, both suffer. ....
