Told from the point-of-view of 10-year old Troy, often referred to as Lady Bug by her struggling musician father, Woody and strong-willed mother, Carolyn. Crooklyn goes on to give us tons of touching episodes, which depicts the life styles of the Carmichael family. From the fights between Troy and her brothers, mother and father disagreements, and the death of the mother, captures the life of one family struggling to survive and stay together.
