Brutus is a Very Ambitious Man
William Shakespeare’s play, “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar”, is mainly based on the assassination of Julius Caesar. The character who was in charge of the assassination was ironically, Marcus Brutus, a servant and close friend of Julius Caesar. After examining Brutus’ character one can see that he is very ambitious in his choices. He has a goal and sticks to it. Brutus proceeds in his goal by putting himself on the line for his country.
Brutus believes that by ridding of Caesar he is doing his country good. Brutus understands that he is putting it all on the line for Romans. Brutus had a compassion for Caesar when he killed. “If then that a friend demand why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer: not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more” ....
