The Dangers of Cigarettes After watching my grandfather die at an early age from lung cancer was a good enough reason for me to quit smoking. In general, smoking cigarettes is known to be a dirty habit, which causes a decrease in health while its also not cheap. For one thing, I realized that my cigarette smoke bothered others, particularly my friends and family, irritating there eyes and causing them to cough and sneeze. Which is when I realized that it also bothered me, by being such an unhealthy habit.
