Review of Citizen Kane
Citizen Kane was written and directed by Orson Welles. This
classic masterpiece was completed in the 1940’s. It uses film as an art
form to energetically communicate and display a non-static view of life -

deep-focus shots from extreme foreground to extreme background, low-angle
shots revealing ceilings, sparse use of close-ups, and the frequent use of

The movie’s theme is told from several perspectives by several
different characters, is the thought-provoking, tragic story of how a
millionaire newspaperman, who idealistically made his reputation as the
champion of the underprivileged, becomes corrupted by a lust for wealth,
