Relating Themes in O’Connor’s “First Confession” Frank O’Connor’s “First Confession” is a simple story expressive of Frank O’Connor’s views of life in Ireland. The entire short story can be related to different periods of O’Connor’s life. It is a story of a little boy who is about to make his first confession.
