Tragic flaw can best be defined as the unrealized flaw of a character, which leads to the downfall of that character. In Julius Caesar, Caesar is basically the ruler of Rome. Hes very compassionate, and most of all, very trusting of others. It is this, his undying trust and compassion for others that leads to his tragic downfall and death. The best example of the phrase tragic flaw in the play Julius Caesar is the character Julius Caesar himself.
