Building A Space Station I am against the idea of building a space station at this point in time. I do not feel that this is the best way to spend the money we have. The planet we live on, Earth, is far from perfect. I think we need to improve a lot more here on our planet before we go trying to improve things on other planets. The funds in building this space station have changed drastically throughout the years. In 1984 when the space station was first brought up the costs were thought to be an estimated eight billion dollars. In 1991 the costs changed to 30 billion dollars for the hardware, 10 billion dollars for the payload, and a life cycle cost of 118 billion dollars. Who knows what the final cost could end up being if it keeps changing so much? The building of the space station....
