The US Economy Is In A Growth Spurt I believe that the US economy has entered a growth spurt. I base my beliefs on two articles that I read in my Berron's Financial Weekly. In the November 20, 1995 edition the article titled "Almost There: 5000", on page 28, was very enlightening. It begins by crediting the surge of 120 points that week by the Dow to the long awaited agreement between the Democrats and the Republicans about balancing the budget.. Several investment counselors were interviewed. Even with that news, one economist, Ed Yardeni, seemed to think that in the short term, technical stocks would still be in trouble.
