As an Asian American, living in Fall River, I take pride in my culture and heritage. My parents are of Chinese ancestry and they lived in Cambodia for many years. When the Khmer Rouge took over the Cambodian government they decided to get rid of everyone that are not Cambodian Citizen. Since my parents, brothers, sisters and myself were born in Cambodia, we thought that we were all set and stayed in Cambodia. We thought wrong.
The Khmer Rouge tried to keep Cambodia pure, but instead of that, they killed their own people along with thousands of thousands of other nationalities living and trying to raise a family in Cambodia. The Khmer Rouge killed my grandparents and relatives, not by guns or knives; they were killed through starvation. Many of my relatives....
