All Quite on the Western Front is a novel about World War I and how it stole the innocence of the soldiers involved in the war. The main character in this novel is Paul. At the start of the war he is a nineteen year old teenager with no grasp of war. By the last chapter he has sawn more then any man should ever have to see in two life time. Paul is just a young man when he gets drafted in to the war and get sent to the fron line of the war. He thinks of it more as an adventure than. He does not realize what horros lie in store for him on the battle lines of the war .
