The Outsiders In chapter one, you meet the main character Ponyboy. He is fourteen years old. His parents died in a car accident, and he now lives with his two brothers. Darry and Sodapop are two different kinds of people. Darry you would not dare to cry in front of and Soda he understands everyone. The three boys are close and are there for each other when they need a hand There are two kinds of groups called the Greasers and the Socs. The Socs are the rich boys of the westside. Socs always love to jump the greasers. Greasers are poorer than the Socs . Greasers are middle class. Socs also like to wreck houses and drinks lots of beer for fun. One night while Ponyboy was walking home a few Socs jumped him. The Socs pulled a knife and threatened to hurt him. Before anything really happened Soda and Darry pulled him away from the Socs. Ponyboy was afraid ....
