"A Doll House" is not a feminist text. The story is about a woman who thought she knew herself, until one event turns her world upside down.
Joan Templeton, in her essay "Is A Doll House a Feminist Text?", says that "A Doll House" is a feminist (1136). She admits that Ibsen himself says "A Doll House" is not about womens rights but "the description of humanity" (1135).
