In All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Marie Remarque, the author describes life in the army as a dangerous and life threatening. While involved in war, the soldiers can suffer due to a lack of supplies. Soldiers of war also run a chance of being imprisoned by opposing forces. Lastly, the soldiers lives are at stake since they risk injury or even death. Because army life proves to be dangerous, the soldiers are negatively effected.
First, the soldiers hold a great chance of running out of supplies while in war. A dearth of adequate food, clothing, ammunition, and shelter commonly occurs in the army. The food the soldiers receive, if any, is brought in poor condition and constantly comes as leftovers. Due to the fact that the soldiers have such poor food, they revert to catching roden....
