They both have very realistic plots, but there is a twist of illusion in the story.
The Handsomest Drowned Man uses many examples of magical realism. The man found drowned was described as being enormous. “The tallest men’s holiday pants would not fit him, nor the fattest one’s Sundays’ shirt, nor the shoes of the one with biggest feet.”(6pgh.).
