The Gift: Review When I first saw the cover for the novel, The Gift, I was instantly attracted to it when I saw the name of the author Danielle Steele, and when I saw it was the New York Times' bestseller. I had read many of Danielle Steele's novels before, (such as Wings, Accident, Secrets, and Now and Forever), and I thought that they were fantastic so I read the back of the book. The plot of the novel seemed a little intense, but at the same time intriguing to read, so I decided to read it, hoping that it would be worth it, and it was. This family is soon drawn apart because of their loss and soon the members become distant from one and other.
