This particular group, the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, was organized by Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton. With the aid of Huey P. Newtons legal background, the Black Panthers legally demanded the end of racism and class oppression based on Constitutional rights. The Black Panther Partys ten point platform stated goals such as "power to determine the destiny of our Black Community"(66) and "an immediate end to POLICE BRUTALITY and MURDER ....
