The Black Panther Party On the day October 15, 1966, a revolutionary nationalists organization was founded by two men, Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale. The name of their group was called the Black panther Party of Self Defense. The purpose of which the party was established, was based upon a 10 point program. The first point was, " We want freedom.
