Creative Writing - World War I: Letter Home
.... war, they are just scared that they might get hurt.
They should see this war for what it is: a chance to help and serve their
country, and earn some glory, both for themselves, and for Britain.
The Boche needs to be taught a lesson; they cannot expect to just march
around the globe, invading countries for no reason, other than selfishness. If
we do not step in and act decisively soon, who knows where they will stop?
How can the army act decisively if many of the men who should be
soldiers decide to stay .....

Personal Writing: Court Experience
.... it seemed like. It was over an hour that he went on talking.
Some of the jurors were falling asleep as well as the judge while he was
speaking. It seems that he could have been more concise with his argument.
Pretty bad when even the judge nods off. The judge even got up and left during
part of the closing arguments.
The states attorney began his closing arguments. His name was McKinney.
His argument was straight to the point. He got his point across and actually
kept members of the jury awake. Wh .....

Personal Essay: The Drainpipe
.... it better in a way, just knowing that it had that power.
Everyday, I would meet with a friend at the drain-pipe. That is until a
teacher found us and told us that because we didn't have any adult supervision,
we couldn't eat there anymore. It felt terrible. I wanted to stay there. I had
always thought that adult supervision was outdated by the time we were this old.
We had come to this place to get away from adults and all the other P.C. people
in this world, and now we had to join them again. At .....

It startled her so! She whipped around toward the direction of the source of
the light, only to find Hephaestus sitting in his favorite easy chair, a glass
of red wine in one hand and a grape bushel in the other. He had the most
peculiar grin on his face.
"How was your day, dearest?" he asked his wife charmingly. "Did you
enjoy yourself?"
"Why, yes, thank you," sh .....

just seen their mother die and suffer, so they were really sad. The oldest one
was so sad that he jumped in the pot right after her mother did and the rest

"Tristan's Tragedy"
.... night on which we fell in love. Perhaps it
was the wine, or perhaps I was merely intoxicated by her. Nonetheless, she
amazingly felt the same drawing to me, and we were unable to contain our
affections. We continued seeing one another in secret after the wedding; after
all, without love her marriage was invalid. After a while, though, our
conniving king took aware of our dealings and banished me to the barren Arundel.
It was there I met a woman of average beauty, but with the only name worthy

Personal Writing: All About Nothing: The Story Of My Life
.... I was in a car wreck involving at least two
dozen cars, including the president's limousine, and how despite having broken
two legs, an arm, in addition to various other body parts too numerous to
mention, I managed to drag myself out of the wrecked car (A job for the Jaws of
Life, for sure, had it been any other person but me in that car), and then how I
managed to haul all of the other survivors, among them the president himself,
out of their cars, and to safety, only moments before a small fire that was .....

Personal Writing: Changing Grades And The Consequences
.... you, chicken?" they taunted. "We'll pay you...."
At that moment I began to think. I could not believe what I was hearing.
I could get paid for something very simple. "Alright. I'll do it. What were your
last names again?" I said.
The next day my algebra teacher got me to help him out with his rollbook
program. When he was not paying attention, I began to change their grades from
F's to A's. Later on that day one of studens approached me.
"Hey, did you do it?" he asked. "Yes, and I expect to be .....

Creative Writing: Year Long Period Of Solitary Confinement And What I Would Bring With Me
.... and programs I could use to
pass the time.
I would bring my alpine ski equipment along with my rock climbing gear
to the earth's frozen basement. The two passions of my life are snow skiing and
rock climbing. On the Antarctic continent lie many mountain ranges that have
the world's driest and most plentiful powder, and the most magnificent rock and
ice faces and cliffs. These conditions are a skier's and rock climber's heaven.
The mountains could provide me with a sense of extreme pleasure and make .....

Personal Writing: The Lake

smelled like mother-nature herself, with aromas ranging from wildlife and wet
grass, to evaporated swamp water and healthy dirt.
Then, the time for us to find the desired vessel arrived. We chose the
kayaks, and set out for the water. Carefully, with our torn-jeans rolled up,
and shirts off, we dragged the massive thing over the slope of grass and mud
into the shallow stream. We then hopped aboard, grabbed the paddles, and
floated and splashed into nowhere. The wavy current sucked .....

Personal Essay: I Propose To Change The Status Of Craighead County, AR From A Dry To A Wet County
.... spend approximately $4.2
billion annually to purchase 430 million gallons of alcoholic beverages. These
businesses could be run here, in Jonesboro, instead of places like Harrisburg
and Truman. The fact is that people are going to drink. Why not sell to
Craighead citizens in Craighead? It makes far greater sense to put back where
you take out. Meaning if you earn a living in Craighead one should purchase
from those there as well. If the citizens could legally buy alcohol her they
