From the time they first settled in Virgin and Massachusetts, the

codified in constitutional documents were insecure. The result was a movement

The Brady Act was approved by Congress in November of 1993 and was then
signed into law by President Clinton later in the month. The act was originally
named for anti gun lobbyist Sarah Brady, and not for former press secretary Jim
Brady. It was through Jim Brady's support and the media coverage that linked
his name to the act. The act requires th .....

Censorship Of The Internet And The Tyranny Of Our Government
.... so why
even try? Cyberspace is the most decentralized form of communication today
making policing the Internet a virtually futile task. Unlike television or
radio, the Internet consists of thousands of individual computers and networks,
with thousands of speakers, information providers and information users, and no
centralized distribution point (ACLU vs. Reno Brief 1). No guards watch to see
who goes where and if that place is appropriate. The Internet has grown to be a
global network. Just because o .....

Censorship And The First Amendment: The American Citizen's Right To Free Speech

unorthodox material is an abuse of free expression under the First Amendment.
As we will come to find, our Supreme Court system plays an exceedingly important

Why The End Of Integration?
.... hassle than a helper. There were many revolts from parents making
situations even more horrible. Most students wanted to go to their neighborhood
schools and not be bussed for long trips to attend a 'better' school. In Seattle
the school board unanimously voted to "avoid race-based school assignment and
increase enrollment in schools closer to home."(Lilly) The busing plan was not
working and soon many schools were trying to deactivate this maneuver. "There is
evidence that federal courts are realizing th .....

Declining Trust In Our Government

and is this distrust of our government even a serious problem at all? These are
three questions that need to be addressed in out society today.
What really has caused the American people to distrust our government and
when did this trend actually begin? I do not believe there is any clear answer
to these questions and I do not believe it would ever be possible to pinpoint
any exact reason for the feelings of the American people. One reason cited by

Driving Laws In India

Use of horn:
Cars (IV, 1, a-c): Short blasts indicate supremacy, i.e. in clearing
dogs, rickshaws and pedestrians from path. Long blasts denote supplication, i.e.
to oncoming truck, "I am going too fast to stop, so unless you slow down we
shall both die". In extreme cases this may be accompanied by flashing of
headlights. Single casual blast means "I have seen someone out of India's 870
million people whom I recognize", "There is a bird in the road (which at this
speed could go through my windscr .....

Affirmative Action

of their employees are Asian. Under the affirmative action, they must
employ someone who is underrepresented. This type of situation happens
often. It is not the qualifications, but the color of the skin that
employers look for today. Affirmative action is a step backwards. We are
back to color and race differences. We are all Americans and should be
treated as so, not what ethni .....

Government Cutbacks

With the larger class sizes, you create a balance for the students. On the

but they need the attention to succeed. The smart ones will be fine, the
average ones will likely sneak through, the ones that is going to have the

Response To Wilson's "Just Take Away Their Guns"
.... at someone and tell if they are carrying a gun
or not. That is ridiculous. Just because of the way someone looks doesn't
mean that they are carrying a gun. What criteria should be used to
determine if someone looks like when they are carrying a gun? Do they put
on baggy pants with a do-rag before they put the gun in their pants or
pocket? As of right now, there is not one, and never will be one. I know
many people that carry guns that probably would be stopped because of the
way they look. They lo .....
