Capital punishment is never used legitimately in the New Testament.
Jesus' constant preaching of love and forgiveness shows his contempt for the
harming of others. One example of love is found in John 15:17 “This is my
command: Love each other.” An example of forgiveness is Matthew 6:14 “For if
you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also
forgive you.”

The Drinking Age: 21 For Everyone?

21 are hard to enforce. Even if they are enforced by the authorities, the
establishment that breaks that law is rarely punished severely. For example, in
Belmont County in Ohio, the police conducted raids of 5-10 different
establishments in 1993 that had liquor licenses and reportedly to sell alcoholic
beverages to minors. It was proven that each business in question had indeed
been guilty of the charges. What would one suspect happen to the business?

The Death Penalty: A Necessary Evil

taken away by the murderer can never be given back. They should therefore be
given a harsher punishment than life in prison. In terms of justice, we should
all get what we deserve.
One argument against the death penalty is that the bible tells us not to
murder. If this includes all people it should include the government. However,

Drugs: Hurt Players And Sports

Despite the necessity for rape prevention, it must focus on eliminating
the conditions in society which make women easy targets for rape. Victim
control teaches women to avoid rape, but doesn't reduce the threat of rape.
Furthermore, rape cannot always be avoided, no matter what precautions the woman
takes. It also puts part of the responsibility and blame for rape on the victim.

Argument For Keeping Repeat Offenders In Jail
.... There will be less need to build, maintain, and expand existing staff if
there are fewer prisoners. But how much more can we cut these sentences, aren't
they short enough already? The average jail sentence is seven years and eleven
months, but the actual average time served is two years and eleven months. I
think there are better ways to save money. For example, we should cut back on
the funding of foreign governments. We have plenty of our own problems in the
United States that we need to take car .....
