Analysis Of Masaccio's "The Holy Trinity" And "Grunewald's "The Isenheim Altarpiece"
.... in. The adjustment of the spectator to the pictured space
is one of the first steps in the development of illusionistic painting.
Illusionistic painting fascinated many artists of the Renaissance and
Baroque periods.
The proportions in this painting are so numerically exact that one can
actually calculate the numerical dimensions of the chapel in the background.
The span of the painted vault is seven feet, and the depth is nine feet.
"Thus, he achieves not only successful illusion, but a rational, metr .....

An Analysis Of A Doll's House
.... describes what her marriage actually is toward the end of
the play, when she tells Torvald, "…our home has been nothing but a play-
room. I've been your doll-wife here, just as at home I was Papa's doll-
child. And the children have been my dolls in their turn. I liked it when
you came and played with me, just as they liked it when I came and played
with them. That's what our marriage has been Torvald."
I think that it is at this point that Nora's world transforms from
a "doll's house" into reali .....

accused of a crime with the backdrop of the rise of Christ and the
tyrannical ruling of the Roman empire in the first century of the common
era. The main character, Judah Ben-Hur had many highs and lows during the
story. Religion was his backbone and strength throughout the story. Ben-
Hur was able to continue through hardships b .....

.... and get off at Elysian Fields" (Quirino 63).
Taken literally this does not seam to add much to the story. However, if
one investigate Blanche's past one can truly understand what this quotation
symbolizes. Blanche left her home to join her sister, because her life was
a miserable wreck in her former place of residence. She admits, at one
point in the story, that "after the death of Allan (her h usband)

Cause Of Hamlet's Distractions: Feelings And Passions
.... not with all their quantity of love
Make up my sum. (V,i, 264-266)
Hamlet is too immature to love her enough to trust her in their
relationship. This trust that he is lacking will give him the ability to
hand Ophelia the key to his madness however, due to immaturity he is unable
to hand her the key. Because of Hamlet's immaturity this same madness
enables him to act extremely irrational at times, such as killing Polonius.
Most mature people will take the time to find out what is behind an arras

Hamlet: Tragedy Of Failure
.... But rather than swoop instantly to that revenge, Hamlet pretends
to be insane in order to mask an investigation of the accusation brought by
his father's ghost. Why Hamlet puts on this "antic disposition" and delays
in killing Claudius is the central question of the play.
But Hamlet did not swear to his dead father that he, detective-like,
would investigate. Hamlet swore revenge. And he has more than enough
motivation to exact revenge.
Does it not, think thee, stand me now upon-

Our Town: Universal Theme Of Family
.... before in this play.
For instance dramatic irony, and Pantomine play a very important role in
this play. By the use of the stage manager constantly pausing and giving
us a reality check, he makes sure we know we are still in reality. The
Stage manager creates quite and effective environment by playing different
parts. Although in the play he plays many miscellaneous roles, to the
audience he is the constant reminder that this is a play. He serves as a
gateway between two worlds of "Our Town" and .....

A Scene From Martin Scorcese's "Mean Streets"
.... to experiment. In his mobster
movies, Scorsese likes to film and edit much of it like a documentary. This
is effective in helping the viewer to get acquainted with the criminal life.
Parts of Goodfellas and Mean Streets were in this style as was, to a more
obvious degree, the first half hour of Casino. Usually the narration plays
a large part in this style of filmmaking. The use of narration, in general,
is another one of Scorsese's styles.
In Mean Streets, there is a wonderfully lit and choreographed sc .....

Hamlet: Tragedy Of Failure
.... the garden, Claudius poured poison in his ear. Claudius prays to be
forgiven but his prayers are not sincere. Claudius, overcome with guilt,
would prefer to keep his status then reveal what he did to King Hamlet.
The play within the play is useful because it allows Hamlet to
verify the validity of the ghost. Usually plays are intended for
entertainment purposes. The play is not real and the actors are playing a
role. In reality Hamlet makes it so that it is similar to what really
happened to his f .....

Death Of A Salesman: Summary
.... 5. Internal conflicts are what move the plot along for the most
part. Throughout the story the characters are trying to live with who they
are and also trying to please everyone else. The internal conflict of
acceptance is what they all have to deal with and that is what moves the
plot along.
Point of View
1. The author uses a lot of stage direction to set the mood for
each scene. Musical instruments define each character and help visualize
the mood and attitude for that character. The st .....
