Creative Writing: Stanley
.... prospects seemed nothing but grim. In Stanley's mind, work
was life and life was hard, so this is how work must be. He hated this
thought, and therefore his own existence, which was his mind-set as he
entered the doors of Holiday Lanes Family Recreation Center.
Once inside, Stanley immediately asked the small, sheepish figure
behind the shoe rental counter where Kyle was, and was given the response
"Dunno." Dunno, What an asshole, Stanley thought to himself. Giving up
all hope on the worthless shoe .....

Personal Writing: Fortunate To Be In America
.... in the palm of their hands.
Unfortunately, it did not. Without a formal education and the ability to
speak English, it was impossible for them to exploit the opportunities that
were presented. I, being the youngest in my family, watched as both my
older brothers began working right out of high school. Thus, they also
have yet to utilize the endless resources that an education has to offer.
As I reflect on the past and examine the present, I focus more on my future.
Seeing first hand the tribulatio .....

Personal Writing: My Jungle Safari
.... the air.
As the tangle of bushes and vines grew thicker I had to withdraw my
sword and cut my way through. The sword caught what little light that had
somehow found its way through the trees and it danced on the nearby trees.
It made a swish as it flew through the air. When it hit the brush the
sword vibrated through my hand and the brush gave way to the knife and
allowed me to pass through.
A tiny light became clearer to me and I headed toward it. The bugs
became thicker and there were mosquitoes all .....

Achilles Anophtheis (Achilles Revisited)
.... object, containing a spool of thin ribbon, which one of
our historians identified as what was known as a cassette. Simply put, it
was a device on which sounds could be recorded. From its small size, our
historian conjectured that it was of a type designed for recording the
human voice rather than music. Armed with this belief, we managed to
convince the Censor Society to allow us to reconstruct the primitive
machine to play back the message we hoped it would contain. They agreed;
on the condition that w .....

Advice I Often Receive From Parents
.... it
when I get a mediocre mark or fail in something and my parents say "as long
as you tried your hardest." It gets quite annoying when I second guess
myself about what I could have done. However, when I know I did the work
as well as I could and it isn't a good mark, I don't worry about it as much
as some people might.
In conclusion, the piece of advice that I receive most often from my
parents is basically a good one, and often it keeps me motivated in the
things I do. It also shows me that my paren .....

the knob, turning it and pushing at the same time. The door swung open
into a small, warm looking room. In the center there sat a small
receptionist's desk, and a blond woman sat there.

Descriptive Essay Of Oppermans Pond
.... I would look around myself and
ponder the questions of life and become fascinated with everything around
me as well as listen to the sounds of nature. I hear many sounds; the
ribbit of a dirty-green plump frog hidden amongst the underbrush, chirps of
birds high in the sky, and the soft wind as it rustles leaves on the trees.
The most amazing scene I have witnessed many times along this pond is the
ducks.
Every few days, I see a family of ducks traveling across the green
grass. The smallest duck, .....

mine on what I can observe and how I perceive things as a whole. Reality,
as we know it seems to be made up of various dimensions. Most people will
say reality is three dimensional, but it's really more than that. Time is
