Creative Writing: Godzilla In Tokyo
.... was it caused by?” asked the commander perplexed.
“A distortion this big could only have been caused by,” he paused, “
well...a distortion this big could have only been caused by Godzilla.”
The commander gasped in shock. “Was there any visual contact
established?” he asked.
“No sir, but our indications lead us to believe that the only
possibly cause could only be Godzilla based only the fact that the
distortion was so big.”
“Very well. It is imperative that we establish visual contact
before we .....

Personal Writing: On My Time
.... the front of all the other bands, being
the obnoxious prick I am, and drew the first card. Unfortunately I drew
the second band on stage out of nine. The best position to be in is about
fourth or fifth band because that is when the crowd starts getting into the
music. Pissed off I haphazardly wandered back to my group to inform them
of my greatest mistake.
We loaded the equipment into the worlds slowest elevator, and
stumbled our way to the backstage lounge. After I had read graffiti
covered wa .....

Thank you for joining us, goodnight.

Pacific Vortex and-
Mr. Pitt: Yes. I have just returned from the Pacific Vortex, a foggy sea
zone where dozens of ships have been vanishing lately without a trace. Let
me tell you it was not a lot of fun!
Interviewer: I see. Could you also please tell me why you ventured down-
Mr. Pitt: Sure. I was sent down there to find it, and salvage it, all
before the sea explodes.
Interviewer: Um, find and salvage what?
Mr. Pitt: Oh yeah, the STARBUCK. It's the latest Americ .....

that he had been passing around, and a handful of flyers he had received.
He carried his driver's license, now useless since he was lacking a vehicle.
He carried a set of keys, with a car alarm remote. What company was he
covered by? He would have to call them later.
He had nothing to alleviate his current difficulty. He had some money,
but not enough for a cab ride back to San Diego at 5am. He was sure that
cabbies didn't take pez as currency. He felt ill-equip, and mortified that

Personal Writing: Plans
.... Friday morning. "Everyone and their Grandma is
on this one road to Denver," he grumbled. My Daddy is claustrophobic. He
hates traffic which is the main reason I think we moved long ago to Wyoming,
the land of wide-open spaces. "You can drive more than a hundred miles on
a Wyoming highway without seeing another car," Daddy would often brag.
That was not the case, however, in Colorado. The cars were lined
up one after another, traveling 75 miles per hour, to the horizon and
beyond. We passengers paid .....

Personal Writing: The Relay Race
.... running at full speed to me. I saw the baton. It looked
like a monster. My mind shouted at me.
'Drop and Die.'
I looked forward again. I could see my way clearly.
It was short distance to go, but it seemed the finishing line was miles
away from me. I opened my eyes with a fierce glare and I decided to run to
death. Every thing looked different from a second ago. I knew my team was
about to be the victor.
"GO!"
The second runner shouted. I darted forth. I put my hand back. I felt the
monster in my han .....

spiritually and know more about God. I was not receiving that knowledge at
that church.
I met some really great people last year who went to Redeemer's. I
was invited to one of their youth group meetings, and I was amazed that
thirty high-school kids were there. We talked in-depth about Jesus and
chapters of the Bible. I really enjoyed it. I talked to my parents about
switching churches. They knew that Redeemer's was right for me, but at the
same time, they wanted me to stay with my old .....

Personal Writing: Why I Should Receive This Scholarship
.... my freshmen year, a teacher encouraged me to participate in a
national project to make a difference in the world. This was a project
where I could help use my skills to help others. This project was not only
about helping those less fortunate than myself. This was a project that
would help build my confidence, and help realize what a joy it is to me to
help those who are in need. Because of my exposure to this and other
community service projects, I know that I want to keep assisting those who
need help. I .....

I look down towards the court where the players have now started shooting
baskets. Their brightly colored uniforms stand out in the glare of the
spotlights above. The court has a waxy look, like it was just swept, and
the glass backboards, have a shine as bright as a new car.

Personal Writing: Our Vacation In The Sierra Nevada Mountains
.... at home knowing we would be
there for a while. We could'nt ask for better weather, the sun was blazin
and the temperature was an awesome 85 degrees for fishing the San Juaqin
river. We found ourselves the trail that lead to the postpile, twisting
and turning along the green, damp trial until we came upon a sight that
every human being should lay their eyes on, Devils Postpile. Enormous
rocks all rubbing against one another scalling the sky. Jumping my way

Personal Writing: Ski Trip
.... Their calls became louder, with annoyance. I stepped up to the
edge of a great slope. The steepness of this colossal block of snow I
stood upon, was frightening. The only was to go was down. I took a deep
breath with no worries, for this was not the first time I was confronted
with a suicide mission. In a heartbeat, the exhilarating feeling of going
downhill on a pair of thin skis took over. The breeze rushed through my
hair and flew vigorously. Veering left and right, dodging inanimate
objects, .....

Personal Writing: "Do You Want To Go To Space Camp This Summer?"
.... However, I wanted to make American friends
because I thought it was senseless to come here if I only talked with
Japanese friends. On the second day, we were divided into teams with three
to five Americans on a team. I tried to use my poor English to make
American friends, but it was really difficult. First, I could not even
introduce myself without looking at my note book in which I had written a
few sentences down. Second, the Americans had never had any Asian friends,
so they were surprised .....
