Stan Kenton & His Orchestra
.... For Sunday,' 'Sunset Tower,' 'Concerto To End All Concertos.'
Upon graduation from Bell High School he worked during the day as a rehearsal pianist in dance halls and theaters. At night he paid his dues in a succession of after-hours bars, clip joints and five dollar-a-night speakeasies prevalent throughout the depression-era southwest until he was able to assemble his own 14-piece orchestra in June of 1941. A dominant characteristic of this relatively small Kenton Orchestra was the choppy, staccato man .....

The Existentialism Of Dave Matthews Band: Rhyme And Reason
.... I got no place to go.”
The theme of dying is also a big part of this song. Dave talks about dying through his own devices and “ ending up 6 feet underground” because “ he needs to kill his pain”. In addition to showing that death is the ultimate end, this also shows that happiness only exists in the present. By needing “to kill his pain” Dave shows that he is unhappy and troubled at the present time and needs relief immediately. Since the song is mostly about dying and relieving pain there are m .....

.... rather than its analytical phase. Using natural forms, particularly forms suggesting the characteristic environment of American life, he rearranged them into flat poster-like patterns with precise outlines and sharply contrasting colors.
He later went on to pure abstract patterns, into which he often introduced lettering, suggestions of advertisements, and posters. The zest and dynamism of such works as Swing Landscape reflect his interest in jazz, which Davis considered to be the counterpart to ab .....

.... were generally simple and rather short. The lyrics told the way the members of the band felt. They played small shows and did not put on any elaborate performances.
The Sex Pistols were the epitome of a punk band. They were discovered in an antifashion clothing store in London called Sex by Malcolm McLaren, the store’s owner. Johnny Rotten, the band’s lead singer, was found while singing along to the jukebox. Sid Vicious, bassist, never learned to play bass. Their sound was exactly what McLaren was .....

Music And Its Effect On People
.... whatever type of music you listen to, you effect it and it effects you.
LET IT BE ~ The Beatles ~ 1970
When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For thoug .....

In Maestro's lyrics he often refers to the struggles he had to go through as a black Canadian rap artist. He certainly did pay his dues and it showed in his debut album, which made history as the best-selling Canadian rap record. Maestro is proud to be Canadian. He shows this in one of his releases. The record was called "Naah Dis Kid Can't Be From Canada?!!!" Nothing seemed to discourage, Maestro, not even the fact that Canadian radio has grown more conservative over the years. M .....

.... the arena suddenly filled up, and the conductor took the stand approximately 20 minutes later than scheduled. When the concert began, I immediately came to realize how very lucky we were to have these seats. In fact, they were probably the best seats we could possibly have had because close-ups of the performers were projected onto three large screens during the entire concert.
The concert began with Overture to Norma, played by the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Conductor Marcello Rota then stepped .....
