money is used wisely then the causes of desertification may be stopped.
Desertification is caused not only by nature but also by human factors
(over-grazing, poor irrigation, deforestation, and over-cultivation) all of
which are preventable.
Livestock, in many continents, overgrazes and flattens vegetation. Arid
areas, such as the Sahel ("Desertification was brought to the world's
attention by the Sahel disaster..."), the dry plains of India, and semi

Evolutionistic View
The Evolutionary theory states that everything evolved over millions
of years. Evolutionists say that dinosaurs came from six million years
back. They also say that the Earth is four to six billion years old. They
say that fifty million years ago there was horses no bigger than dogs, and
birds as tall as man, three hundred million years ago giant dragon flies
buzzed around in the large forests, six million years ago small animals,

Preserving Flowers

bunch of flowers after their leaves have been removed, and to hang them
upside down out of direct sunlight in a dry, well-ventilated attic, closet
or garage. Ideally, the drying area should have a temperature between
60<198> and 80<198> F and a humidity rate less than 60%. Another method is
to place the flowers in a container and to cover them with clean, fine sand,
or a mixture of borax and cornmeal, or a nonchlorophyll kitty litter. These
inexpensive substances provide the flowers with support, en .....

The Aviary, The Aquarium, And Eschatology
.... what follows is based on rumor, hearsay and
circumstantial evidence. Much is derived from numerous phone calls from Dan
Smith, whose religious beliefs regarding the UFO phenomenon have induced a
messianic zeal to "spread the Word."
These calls have provided a flurry of information on what I have
previously termed "fringe" beliefs, as well as providing the names and
backgrounds of the birds who comprise the Aviary. According to Dan, who
undoubtedly is privy to a wealth of accurate, though not widely k .....

Endangered Species In Canada

these necessities cannot be met.
In this century, loss of habitat has been one of the main caused of
extinction (pg 8, Silverstein). People share the country and the planet
with all the other creatures that live here. As human population grows,
people spread out into areas that once were wild, and they compete with
animals for living space. Mort times than not the animals lose in this
battle.

Astrological constellations, which were the predominant sign for each Lunar

13th house of the system, fitting, if I remember correctly, on one side of
Scorpio. If anyone is claiming true accuracey and results using Astrology
they must be ignoring the current calendar and co nverting back to the

The Making Of The Cat
.... molecules out of the basic components of the atmos- phere. As these
molecules slowly rained into the early oceans, a kind of primordial soup
was created. Via the ultraviolet radiation, light- ning, volcanic action,
and other forms of heat and energy, this soup was able to slowly combine
the organic molecules into ever more com- plex forms: first simple amino
acids, then organic macromolecules, then single-strand RNA molecules, and
finally simple viruses.
The only trouble with the soup theor .....

The Possible Future Of Mankind

Agriculture is born.
3. Agriculture
Now, people are really getting smart and organized. They live in
towns and cities. The overall quality of life increases and the time frame
is growing shorter, history-wise. New forms of technology are developed to
aid in crop yield, and this sparks the next stage... Industry.

Baby Growth And Development
.... the development of motor skills. Motor
skills are the child's ability to control movement. There are two basic
classifications of motor skills, gross motor skills and fine motor skills.
Gross motor skills are those which involve the large muscles. Whereas,
fine motor skills are those involving the smaller muscle groups. For
example, a child can grasp a big ball in their arms before they can catch a
baseball in their hands. The fine skills of hands and feet are the last to

Canada's Ideal Population - What Is It? And How Should It Be Achieved?

an increase in taxes. More people would be using facilities funded by taxes,
like schools, school supplies, utilities, conservation areas, prisons,

Hurricanes

swirling around the storm center, for the same reason that the air swirls
around a tornado center.
As this air swirls in over the sea surface, it soaks up more and more
water vapour. At the storm center, this new supply of water vapor gets
pulled into the thunderhead updrafts, releasing still more energy as the
water vapor condenses. This makes the updrafts rise faster, pulling in even
larger amounts of air and water vapor from the stor .....
