.... communication with their masters. Their native language and English would be combined and they would speak African-English pidgin.
As the slaves began to learn how to communicate with each other, their words would merge into one common word that they could all understand. This is one of the ways that the language became mixed with English.
When the African slaves had children they talked to them in African English pidgin. The slaves taught the children both languages so that they could communicate w .....

World Order
.... the role of international law. The players in international law are the states, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), regional and Inter-Governmental Organisations such as the EC and ASEAN, and the United Nations. Individuals have virtually no rights and duties at international law, however, they also have limited scope for complaints/petitions to agencies of the UN.
There have been many initiatives towards achieving global stability, beginning as early as last century. The first International Peace .....

Wrestling 2
.... on "Jenny Jones" children watch female and male strippers dancing in sexually enticing outfits to the sounds of socially incorrect pornographic music. The WWF is not considered acceptable because of its violence, raw language, and sexual suggestion; but a wide variety of popular daytime shows containing the same explicit material are acceptable to numerous viewers.
Children watching the news, hear and see far worse events than what is displayed on wrestling; but yet the news is highly acceptable for .....

Writing A Personal Argument
.... game allowing for interaction between children and adults of all ages. KAPLA books include building designs. Red books for beginners, blue books include advanced designs, green books feature architecture and shapes and beige books feature animals. Although the KAPLA books seem to be a limitation to what should be constructed by using the wooden blocks, actually they are just the guide for the children to create their own representations. Same as Quarks, the children need what is in his or her mind plus the .....

.... be consumed by men for visual pleasure and by women for self-definition and survival in the society. The weakness of women as sexual objects is also very obvious when looking closer at the advertisements. Any depiction of a woman who is almost not wearing anything makes her look unprotected and powerless, especially when placed next to a physically stronger man. She may attract men and draw their attention, but this temptation is for the man to "have her". Women are more likely to be portrayed as sexually .....

Efficient Market Theory: A Con
.... uses the market system against itself. AOL, up until early November of this year, used an accounting system that effectively "cooked their books" and provided misleading figures on the company's performance. Instead of accounting for its promotion expenses and costs as a regular expense, as normal companies do, AOL spread them over two years. This let AOL report annual profits based on revenue figures derived from denying actual expenses (as cited in Newsweek, November 11 edition).
By deferring those co .....

Writing Process
.... doesn’t necessarily mean you have to. The way you wrote the paragraph could be in your own voice.
Your papers should be filled with your voice. Voice is what makes your writing personal. But your voice could be different depending on what you write about. I would put a lot more of my feelings in a paper about food, than a paper about how the polar ice caps are melting.
Revising and rewriting a paper is a common step in the writing process. Personally, I think your paper would be crap if .....

Y2k Vs. Stock Market Crash
.... Tuesday 16,410,030 shares were sold. These three days added up to over $26 billion dollars of damage to the economy, and by the end of the month $100 billion dollars. This might seem like a lot but when a data crash comes the damage that will be done will be far worse. The reason for the huge intensity is because the data crash will be worldwide instead of in just one country.
Business now is international and even a crash in another country hurts the U.S. Imagine the scale of damage when all the .....

Year Round School
.... a year round schooling is that there are frequent breaks. They are long enough for the student to rest and revive him/herself, but short enough so nothing is forgotten. Students tend to "burn out", especially during the long strecth of school between spring break and summer vacation. With the frequent breaks, the student has something to look forward to within a reasonable amount of time. Summer vacation seems too far away and the student becomes discouraged and lazy.
All in all, schools across .....

(c) In Oak Park, IL, a private Catholic hospital was not allowed to erect a cross because it could potentially offend some the town's residents.
