Risk Taking
.... than the odds of failure. Another
definition of acceptable risk might be a risk that does not harm one's future.
We might also say that the only acceptable risk is one where the aggregate
happiness is increased, thus increasing the moral good of the risk, an idea
which is based on John Stuart Mill's Utilitarianism. Finally, we might define a
morally good risk in a Kantian way by saying that the only acceptable risk is

Storytelling

her life along with best hopes and wishes.
The Woman Warrior is a story about the life of Maxine Hong Kingston. It is
easy to see her identity from those memorable occurrences that she mentions
throughout her book, especially the stories her mother told her. The story of
"Fa Mu Lan", for example, teaches women to strive to be the best they can be.
It is a story about a woman warrior who takes place of her father in battle and
returns in victory as a heroine. It evidently sho .....

Crabs For The Crabber
.... Boater's World. The gloves have special rubber tips that help reduce the
pain if a crab pinches you. The overalls will protect your clothes from getting
drenched and muddy. The last thing that you should never leave the dock without
is plenty of liquids to drink. I recommend Gatorade or water, but no soft
drinks. It is very hot on the boat and fluids are a necessity so that you do no
dehydrate.
Before you can start crabbing, you need certain materials. The most
important is a commercial licens .....

The Ku Klux Klan people haven't gotten out of the idea the black people

striking workers". (Microsoft Encarta 1995) Their traditions have been
pasted down from generation to generation since 1865. Lately, Klansme .....

(MacDonald, p.8) There was usually a walkway along the top of the walls so
guards could keep watch. Some castle walls had spaces at the top called
embrassures, which allowed archers to shoot with the protection of the wall.
These openings also permitted stones or boiling water to be thrown down on the
enemy. (Encyclopedia Americana, p.790). Towers were built along castle walls
at regular intervals to strengthen them and provide area for castle workers or
visitors.

In Chile, none of these divisions is being met. Economically speaking, almost
40% of the population is poor and as a result many make a living directly from
the land clearing forests. In the IVth region of Chile, forest regions are

results in two main things, one, people must spend increasing amounts of energy
traveling to the site of present cutting and two, the removal of the trees over

the neighboring Maori's.
As stated before, the English eventually found their way to the south,
where the beautiful island lay untouched by foreign hands. They also found that
the island had a native populace just as Au .....

that chunking involves taking a large number or word and breaking it down into
smaller pieces that could be remembered easier. I also told her that she could
chunk together the first letters of a phrase to make it more accessible to her
memory retrieval system. I gave her the example o .....

years passed new techniques assuring food preservation would come and go,
