Betsy Byars did a very excellent job with her choice of words in Good-bye, Chicken Little. Her choice of words makes this an easy book to read and understand for readers of all ages. Characters are made to seem so real all throughout the novel. The plot also seems very real and is easy to follow. Because Betsy Byars intended for Good-bye, Chicken Li .....

It was in, but when the Joad’s approached one town border, the men there said there was no work, and that they would have to turn around, I believe they even had the police there. This showed how much the people already living in these towns and cities fear the coming farmers and others that had lost their jobs, for the townspeople wanted to keep their jobs.
