Personal Writing: Joining The Track Team At the beginning of High School I had always wanted to be involved in something. In tenth grade I joined Club International, which was really fun, until our school discontinued it due to lack of funds. I really wanted to be a part of the Softball team, however I was too intimidated to try out. It was not until eleventh grade when a good friend told me I should go out for the track team. That too was intimidating, I was never a very outgoing person, and I was petrified of rejection, which made me pass up many opportunities. I decided this time I was going to at least go to one of the meetings
